We are fundraising for woman's reproductive health!

We are thrilled to announce the Multipurpose Prevention Technology (MPT) Summit Envisioning the Future of HIV/STI Prevention and Contraception taking place June 24-25, 2024 Rockville, MD. This event aims to bring together researchers, advocates and supporting agencies currently working on multipurpose prevention technologies (MPTs) as well as individuals who are not currently working in the MPT field, but are excited to learn more about these promising innovations that bring together contraceptives and HIV/STI preventatives. We plan to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field – from science to regulatory to public policy. An anticipated 175 attendees will participate in-person, with others participating virtually. Featured speakers include representatives from the NIH, USAID, and WHO; US and global community partners; private and public sector organizations; and MPT product developers.

With the renewed interest in women’s and reproductive health, this Summit will be a very timely opportunity for participants from diverse sectors to network, learn about MPTs, and provide input into how we can best address challenges and roadblocks facing this field. Building upon the work done over the past 15 years since the launching of the MPT field, the Summit aligns with the priority of the recent Executive Order to advance research in contraception (EO 14101 - Strengthening Access to Affordable, High-Quality Contraception and Family Planning Services), the NIH Strategic Plan for HIV and HIV-Related Research, and the importance of MPTs mentioned throughout the HHS STI National Strategic Plan 2021-2025.

The Initiative for MPTs (IMPT), a program of CAMI Health at PHI, would be honored to showcase your support for Women's Health during the Summit. As NIH funds cannot be used to provide food or beverage during this event, we are seeking sponsors for breakfasts and lunches. We are grateful to have secured a commitment for the coffee breaks.

In conjunction with the Summit, we are also hoping to secure sponsorships to host a reception on the evening of June 24, 2024. This reception will offer a unique opportunity for leaders, researchers, funders, and advocates to network, collaborate, and discuss future directions in the field of MPTs.

As a sponsor, your organizational logo can be showcased on signage and other materials at the Summit and reception, as well as on the IMPT website.

The Initiative for Multipurpose Prevention Technologies (IMPT) is a project of CAMI Health, a social impact organization dedicated to improving the health of women and their families worldwide. CAMI Health is housed at the Public Health Institute (PHI).
